Because you and still.
NPAPI plugins are not the equal NPAPI extensions, used almost constantly. All supporters of the 45 version is constantly forgotten about NPAPI extensions, is constantly talking only about plugins. And there is no substitute NPAPI plugins, except Flash.
Quote:There may not be alternatives for some plugins in the short term, so NPAPI is still important.
I fully support you. Thank you for your understanding of the problem.
P.S. Google, with unlimited possibilities, and without regard for the opinions of its users, does everything to make Chrome as possible uncontrolled user, covering all the safety concerns of the mythical threats and trying to do it as often as possible.

By the way, 45 engine support NPAPI. Only in Google Chrome NPAPI disabled.
The 360 Extreme Explorer beta on 45.0.2454.93 engine NPAPI is running.

Chromium didn't remove NPAPI source code completely. It still leave a switch for us to enable NPAPI.

Howewer, in 46 engine NPAPI removed completely.
And in Chrome 45 (not Chromium) NPAPI removed fully.
