In 360 Extreme Explorer betas, based on 45.0.2454.46 NPAPI work fine. In Opera-Chrome betas, based on 45.0.2454.46 NPAPI extensions also work fine, howewer NPAPI flash plugin not worked (as they reported). However, the final version of Chrome 45.0.2454.85, as they reported, NPAPI is not working.
May be try key --enable-npapi-for-testing?  On final version 45.0.2454.85, as they reported, this key not worked.

When all NPAPI extensions (some of which have no analogues) will translate into PPAPI, then we can talk about the uselessness of NPAPI. You're fixated only on flash plugin.

It turns out that final version of Chrome 45 does not work the key --enable-npapi-for-testing. NPAPI died.

Howewer, in Chrome build 45.0.2454.46 NPAPI worked.
