Synching to what?

In Settings, I have sync turned on, says it's synching to my Google email. What does that mean, and how does it do that? Synching to where? Other browsers sync to the same browser on other devices, but Cent has no Android version. If something happens to my Cent and I have to reload it, do I have to start from scratch? Thanks in advance.

All your data related to Google services are store in Google's servers.
So Cent can sync with Android Chrome for now.
