disable extension autoupdates?
#1
I tried with the command line switch

--extensions-update-frequency=999999999

but it didn't work,

is there any way?

The value passed to--extensions-update-frequency is adjusted inside Chromium, so even 999999999 will not work.
You can try adding --cb-disable-extensions-auto-update.

If I have my favorite extension and I do not want to update it I do this
- enable developer mode in extensions page
- find the extension you do not want to update
- below is the ID, find the folder with that name in the CentBrowser profile (portable Cent): CentBrowser\User Data\Default\Extensions\
- copy it to disk C, for example
- change the name of this folder to whatever you want, preferably the name and version of the extension
- you can optionally edit the extension if you know how to do it
- pack the extension using the tool in the extensions page
- install by dropping it to the extension page.

This extension will no longer be updated

yes, I know about this, I've already done it for my "critical" extensions,
but I was looking for a generic handling - disabling

It works here.
Are you sure it doesn't work on your side?
You need to uninstall all newer extensions, then add that switch, then restart the browser and install older extensions.

I copied the portable folder to another pc and as soon as the browser started,
I got a message that an extension was updated
(through extension update notifier)

Did other extensions(such as ABP uBlock) update themselves?
Maybe that extension has other way to update besides Chrome standard way.

no, it was only an isolated incident and I'll be monitoring closely,
ublock cannot update anyway because I have converted it to unpacked extension among others

and today mega extension was updated (after browser restart), so the switch isn't working
