So tell me what kind of browsers you know with similar functionality to Cent.

I didn't count the number of features)

But I like: Maxhton, Vivaldy, Slimjet.
And I also like Catsxp.

I would recommend Slimjet first (google sync), but I find liking Vivaldi best, albeit sometimes it likes to hang, and youtube isn't nearly as responsive as regular chrome.

I've tested many browsers over the years. Was an early Myie2 user/tester which was the precursor to maxthon. Yea, old guy here but have been testing for decades. After maxthon got too bloated and went "corporate", found Cent and have been with them ever since.

Tried slimjet and it's decent, but their gestures were lacking (I use zoom gestures all the time. They have no such gestures...I asked for years to add them to no avail). Maxthon's decent but again, I recall it having annoyances for me, but haven't used it in a while.

I was leery of catsxp that I've seen a number of references to. I found a download from a known good testing for 'bad stuff' software site. softpedia. I must say, it's most like Cent to me as far as features go (I don't use sync so can't speak to that). The gestures and ad-blocking are very good to excellent - I don't need extensions for those functions. I'll be doing more testing for cpu/mem usage, but it has good possibilities in my eyes.

If all good, I'll make the switch soon as I hate being this far off current versions...

As for the security of this browser, there is a lot of talk about catsxp being virus.

that's why when I found it through softpedia (a freeware/shareware software repository, one of a few I trust), I thought to try it. They test for viruses...

"This product was last tested in the Softpedia Labs on
18th of February 2022 by Mihaela Teodorovici.

Softpedia guarantees that Catsxp is 100% Clean, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.
This software product was tested thoroughly and was found absolutely clean; therefore, it can be installed with no concern by any computer user. However, it should be noted that this product will be retested periodically and the award may be withdrawn, so you should check back occasionally and pay attention to the date of testing shown above.

Сatsxp has a built-in non-disableable functionality that shows ads on the pages. Or maybe he does something else, for example, he steals card numbers or writes keylogs, there is no source text.
I repeat once again, for the completely stupid, ad blocks appear on the web pages in Сatsxp, which are not in any other browser (I have 5 of them). Basically it's cheap advertising with Aliexpress.
