STABLE version -- 4.3.9.248

During the pandemic, 360 Qihu Software (Beijing) became the flagship in the field of browsers. You should know them from programs such as 360 Extreme Explorer, 360 Secure Browser, 360 Internet Security and so on. If I understand correctly, it's not customary to be ahead of the flagship in China. And 360 Qihu is currently running on the 86 engine. Look at other browsers from China (QQ, Sogou, 2345Browser, Baidu etc.) -- they all run on the engine 86 or lower...
So when Qihu is updated, then, probably, Cent Browser will also be updated.

Sorry, you are wrong. See Catsxp Browser (貓眼瀏覽器)catsxp.com, it is using Chromium 91.0.4472.100.

Yes, you're right. Maybe we'll see an update soon. Still, Catxp is more for Chinese residents. Check out this page: https://www.catsxp.com/about... (the first line).  And Softpedia doesn't have this browser. It is worth noting that CentBrowser is known all over the world, for example, in my Canada.?

And how many of those allow me to disable DirectWrite, which causes me migraines?

All this disabling DirectWrite is crooked everywhere. Ever since Google cut it out. Only extensions save. Everything else is nonsense.
(There is a similar attempt in 360EE and Advanced Chrome)

DirectWrite can no longer be fully fixed.

The conclusion of a blockhead with a blunt head and crooked hands. Probably worth a corpse - Windows 7.
Windows 10 4.3.9.248 x64 Everything works fine.

Sadly we've been going over the same problems every 4 -6 months for the last year or two. Last time it was Directwrite and bookmarks issues that the devs couldn't sort out for ages.

If it's the same issues again, we're just going to keep going through this terrible update cycle or even worse. It's probably going to get harder and harder to keep features that have been removed from the main code with each passing major update.

What the solution is, I don't know, but it will probably upset some current users.

Straight up I don't use Cent unless it has DirectWrite disabling, because it's literally the only reason I still use it.

I don't think the devs have said what's been the hold this time, have they? In reality, though, Cent Browser can't keep limping along like this and something needs to change.

There's things they could do but I think they have previously ruled some of them out, such as getting outside help or removing any existing functions/features they have trouble with.

As I said, they are not going to please everyone whatever they do, but in my humble opinion, they need to pick a direction to go in and commit to it. If it upsets you, me, or anyone else, so be it. Either that or if they think it's the end of the line for Cent, just tell us so we can all move on...
