Try disabling hardware acceleration, or renaming User Data directory.

For installed version, you can choose keeping your data when uninstalling the new version in Control Panel, then installing the old version.
For portable version, just extract the old installer to the browser directory and overwrite all files.
In both cases, you should better manually delete the files "Cookies" and "Web Data" under "User Data\Default" to avoid conflict.

Try changing "chrome://flags/#font-src-local-matching" to "Disabled".

This issue is introduced by disabling DW which isn't Chromium feature now, it is hard to say who's bug.
