chrome-search://local-ntp/local-ntp.html
in chrome://settings/cbNewTab?

Well im still on this version
I guess the built-in update does not work then, will dl the .exe instead and see if my problem goes away.

As you suggested b4, yes i have. Worked great until a day or so ago.
We will try to fix this issue caused by Google change.
For the update, we didn't push the new version because it has some bugs.
You can stay on 4.0 and wait for 4.2
