Increase Maximum Number of Connections per Site
#1
This is an old issue with Chromium: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8404...ore-than-6

Firefox can have it set in about:config. Internet Explorer has it at 16 now. Chromium defaults to 6 only.

Please increase it. 16 should be good if it can not be made user configurable.

There is a test suit here to confirm the limits: http://www.browserscope.org/network/test

as for firefox,
it's a very old setting, I remember changing network.http.max-connections-per-server years ago
are you sure it still works?

because I tried changing it in firefox on my mobile and on my laptop and it remained 6,
so it should be ignored now

More connections consume more CPU time and more system resources.
Increasing connections doesn't always improve network speed, otherwise Chrome would do it long ago.
