Yes.They should do this.Iron's executable already is chrome.exe. Slimjet's executable slimjet.exe is not in IDM white list.
But this thing is a better-to-do not a must-do.If the bigger company have enough influence and patience to resolve third-party software compatibility issue one by one, they don't need to rename their executable.
In fact the default executable name of Chromium project is chrome.exe.You can find it in the following source code.
