That’s probably the biggest drawback of Chromium-based browsers: (Decent) Migration.
And by decent I mean local. Without the hideous "sync" which, besides being questionable (who told you I’d like all my personal data in the cloud?), doesn’t sync everything e.g. your extensions’ settings.
The way Firefox does it: By copying the profile folder.
You’re worrying about security? Then encrypt the said folder with a password, don’t LOCK everything to unique machine ID, that’s absurd!
And counterproductive. Users should have the option to run their browsers from a USB flash drive or any other portable storage device.
