IF it is actually buried in the browser it was not there when i installed my copy. this is why i added one from the store. like i said i always thought it was funny that chome / chromium based browsers wouldn't all share the same translator since it is so good.
ok just removed the user folder from the latest portable and launched the portable and the translator is in it, so looks like whatever version of cent was out when microsoft pulled the latest update to 10(17763.55). i installed that fresh and used the copy of cent i had downloaded a week or two before. any thoughts on getting the translator to work or am i better off just rebuilding the browser with a new copy of the latest version? on a side note IF the builtin translator was working there would be no need for the first three post in the thread.
o.k. after some more searching i got a work-around. i can simply rightclick the page and translate. geeze just noticed that forced the button back and the auto translate as well. a simple rightclick and translate is all it took.
This was changed by Chromium 67.
The new algorithm will assume you know the language well if you often visited websites of that language and didn't use translation.
