Tested with commandline key --disable-background-networking which prevents uncontrolled updating of extensions. With --cb-disable-extensions-auto-update same result.

This should be compability issue with 67 core.
Can you contact the author and remind of an update?
And have you tried installing this extension under browser safe mode(running with safemode.bat)?
