STABLE version -- 5.0.1002.354
Speaking of cache... It just occured to me, how cool it would be if Cent Browser could replace the disk based cache with an in-memory image cache.
Just like FreeTube. No SSD and HDD thrashing and fragmenting, increased privacy etc.
This is just an idea though. I'm fully content as it is - being able to redirect the cache to the HDD.

It is a good idea.
Let's see what Chrome/Chromium will do with GPT.
Google/Bing may integrate GPT into their browsers and search page.

It's better to change User Agent only for specific domains.
It is not recommended to change global User Agent.
You can try this extension:

You can use RAM disk and change "custom cache directory" in chrome://settings/cbOtherOptions to it.

I thought I'd check out my question "Does the standard (nonportable) installation also write these files ?" myself, so I installed centbrowser_5.0.1002.295_x64.exe.
The installer did not work on my computer - a different problem. I'll try to attach the log file.  I extracted the chrome.7z file to a small partition on another drive, and centbrowser worked from that drive.
I ran cent from safemode, same as @LuckyJim, and the files are still created in my temp folder. This is sounding like a chromium error rather than OS.
If Cent is not writing alot - thrashing my ssd - I guess its not a big problem.
This log file is related to hardware acceleration.
Thanks for your work.
