There are other browsers that allow me to disable DirectWrite, which actively causes me migraines and means I can't use the Internet!?

v84 is not ready now.
So following v85 doesn't need much more time than following v84.

Is there anything we can do to help?

Can we expect next Cent's update in October?

FTFY. I wouldn't get my hopes up anymore on any month (and tbh year as well) they say they are going to release an update.

Good afternoon, Cent Team! Now seriously... We live in a hard time. You have other things to do besides the browser. You want to be promoted... You see, it's hard to advertise something that doesn't change. So I have a suggestion for you: open a cash account and ask everyone, who is not indifferent to your browser, to transfer $1 at least. Set a money threshold, below which the browser will not be updated. Only one thing! All details ought to be honest. Think about it and good luck!

There is a problem with displaying emojis when the flag "Directwrite" is disabled. Version 4.2.10.171

I confirm the problem with directwrite disabled. My temporary solution is to install Stylish and add the rule:
Code:
* { font-family: Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif,Segoe UI Emoji,Segoe UI Symbol; }

But it is still a bullshity solution, because emojis will look non colored. Developers need to do something with that.
