url preview bar bug..
#1
Dunno if this is just a bug with chrome right now or what, but ever since I updated to the creators update of windows 10 (clean install) the url preview that comes up on the lower left when you hover over a link is bugged or something, sometimes it'll appear and sometimes it'll pop up and then disappear right away and not appear anymore.

This seems to only be happening on any chrome browser be it centbrowser or normal chrome (things like vivaldi/firefox/internet explorer/edge the preview url bar shows up just fine always)

I've tried re-installing centbrowser/chrome, I've tried resetting my profile, I've tried suggestions from google search about disabling hardware acceleration and none of these seem to work.. So I am coming here in hopes to find some more suggestions or help on getting the url preview bar to actually show up consistently whenever hovering over a link..

We are also using Creators Update, but have not encountered this bug.
It should be a bug of Chromium 57 or Creators Update, have you tried Chrome Canary?

So downloaded Chrome Canary and the url preview shows up just fine on hovering over links and such.

So looks to be a bug with chrome v57 and maybe 58? since Chrome Canary is on v59 already.

I think it should be fixed in Chrome 58.
You can also try Chrome Beta which is on version 58.
Chrome Stable and Chrome Beta will overwrite each other's settings, but Chrome Canary can co-exist with Chrome Stable or Chrome Beta.

I'm wanting to use centbrowser though, not normal chrome...so unless you can force centbrowser to use a different chrome version then I'm stuck on v57 for the time being..

No, I was not asking you to switch browser.
It is just for testing(whether this issue is fixed in Chromium 58).
I haven't found bugs similar to this issue on bugs.chromium.org.

From my own searching it seems to be a bug that has been going on and off for a very very long time, even as far back as v32 of chrome. Seems that the bug just seems to pop up randomly and disappear randomly as well.

As for now my preview bar has come back again and I hadn't changed a single thing between the time it was missing and now.
