Built-in downloader
#1
Hi,

Built-in downloader always overwrites downloaded files with the same name without ask.
I would prefer Cent Browser to make the name unique

I use latest x64 portable version

This is weird.
It should rename the downloaded files automatically.
It would never overwrite any files silently.
Have you tried running the browser with safemode.bat?

I started the browser in safemode and everything works good, then I restarted Cent normally and now it works as it should.
It's very strange, I don't understand why
Anyway I'm happy now

Maybe a temporary extension issue, sometimes it occurs.

It overwrites files with the same name without ask, yes. But only, when you choose download directory from the dropdownlist, different from default or last chosen. For example, last download directory was "c:\music" with file "Track01.mp3" inside ,when you download file "Track01.mp3" again,, it will rename it to "Track01 (1).mp3". But when you'll choose another directory from the dropdownlist "Save to.." in built-in downloader (for example "d:\music"), with file "Track01.mp3", it will overwrite file without asking.

I need help again. It's not a CentBrowser issue, but I'm not an expert so I hope you can help me.
Again I have no confirmation dialog when I download a file already existent. I removed Chrono download manager extension and the problem doesn't occur anymore. I installed this extension on a fresh installation of CentBrowser portable and I have no problem. so it isn't an extension issue.
Any suggestion?

Are you using the builtin download dialog?(the following)

It will rename your file automatically if there is a file with the same name.
But if you change the generated file name manually, it will not let you confirm again.

Thanks
Problem solved. I changed download directory in preferences. Before, I have manually changed download directory only in the popup that you have posted.
