with using button insted of bottom download-bar i noticed 2 flaws:
- when downloading big files blue circle appears not so fast so often i can't figure out if download goes = it may be great if for example there be slow animation of arrows "falling down"/rotating when dowloading is in process.
- when you try to download some executable files etc,. there is no depiction that browser awaits for descision, you need to guess and push download button to see options = could be great if button start to glow transparent red, for example.

1.Downloads are always on the road if your network is connected. In fact we already have a rotating circle animation when you download a file with unknown size.(e.g.:a streaming video).
And there is another Windows embed feature can indicate download progress:a light green progress bar on the task bar icon.
2.Do you mean the bubble window is waiting your confirm after downloaded an executable file?If so it may be a bug because we have removed that warning.(force the browser to keep all type of files)
Please give us an URL to test.

I have also reported this (at multiples times ). Same problem for me, any EXE (msi, bat, js, etc.) file will ask for confirmation, even with all security options disabled, even on the latest version of CB.
one little example : http://www.clubic.com/lancer-le-telechar...inrar.html
My advanced parameters
If you can find a way to fully disable that (stupid) google "security", it would be wonderful ! Or at least, like rey asked, some glowing on the download bubble ?
ps : maybe a hint for this bug. EXE file are in fact downloaded, BUT, CB asks confirmation before it "releases/finishes" the file (changing statut from Downloading to Completed). File is already in the hard disk, but unavailable before confirmation. I'm not sure, but doesn't Google Chrome ask confirmation BEFORE starting downloading the file ?

No, not just before download start. There is also a virus check after download finished.
Whether to display the warning message depends on the scanning result of your default anti-virus service.
We will try to disable the warning completely in the next version.
In fact Windows Defender and UAC are built into the OS, so Chromium is doing too much work to the downloaded items.

I didn't used Google Chrome since ages :p
I thought it was before downloading
ps : For my part, I don't have (and don't want) any antivirus software. I'm running under W10 Pro with Windows Defender fully disabled (thanks to RunAsTi)

1. Windows green animation is truly here, but even it has same problem - when you put a hge file on download line it takes time for some "download percent color display animation" to become visible. yet i'm xactly saying about situation with bad networks and notknowing there was a break(public hotspots, too many walls to WiFi modm, etc.)
2. noticed that not each time download is halted till decision, sometimws it goes on from the start, but warning question remains to answer..

1.We have made some changes to the download animation in the next version. It should improve user experience. And for failed downloads, there will be a red explosion effect to notify user.
2.This is an issue we currently working on.
