You can try changing bookmarks button width in chrome://settings/cbBookmarks

Just use middle click, or CTRL+left click.
And have you tried "Force links to open in the background" in chrome://settings/cbTabOptions?

5.0.1002.275 (x64) падает
кейс:
- открывать вкладки, пока не появятся стрелочки
- попытаться закрыть любую вкладку
