RE: STABLE version -- 4.3.9.248 - geonetor - 01-26-2022

For me, syncing bookmarks passwords and extensions with google account is essential. So my options are limited to chrome or slimjet. Slimjet has some nice features, but it looks outdated and most of its tweaks can be implemented to chrome with extensions. So i decided to go back to chrome.

I went to Edge 32bit with shitton of extensions, vivaldi is nice but sadly missing full history sync and global media controls. Chrome will be faster for sure, but UI sucks
Still miss Cent

For me too. But I've been using Lastpass for a while now, and I already have almost all my passwords saved. LastPass is also more powerful and can autofill me and log in, save addresses, VISA and a lot of other information if I want, and all with a single master password.

Maxthon has its synchronization service, but what I have done is install the latest version 6, install all my extensions, import favorites, set everything almost identical to CentBrowser in one PC and when I have it, I make a copy of the c:/Users/MyUser/Appdata/Maxthon and then on the rest of my computers I unzip it and I have everything perfectly installed and synchronized.

Because for some reason when I reinstall Maxthon it sync my settings and bookmarks but not the extensions. But copying the folder if I format or change PCs I don't have to repeat everything. EVEN the internal configurations of the extensions are saved, which with chrome (or cent) I have to reconfigure them every time.

Then I apply update to the latest version and it updates and does not fail. I'm really delighted and pages that already gave me an error with Cent with Chrome96 I think everything is going better for me.
Now for me Maxthon is perfect, and have new versions every few weeks. The last beta versions are working in a better dark mode  Heart

The most annoying thing about Maxthon is that there is no setting of "Adresses and More" and no Autofill.

No problem for me. Always used LastPass.

Even with a new version of Cent... I feel very comfortable in Maxthon. And everything indicates that Cent died

We have to accept it now  Confused

I'm not talking about passwords, I'm talking about showing previously filled-in words.

Has anyone tried SRWare Iron? If I'm not mistaken it's one of the few browsers that supports proper portable mode, like Cent?

I tried this browser - many features are cut off. There is no way to customize as you need.
Better use regular Google Chrome. If you need Portable, look for the version Portable by Cento8
+Install extension: CrxMouse Chrome Gestures - mouse gestures work fine for me
