Youtube play/pause button disappeared. - VxMiMxV - 10-17-2020

A couple days ago the play/pause button "disappeared" - https://i.imgur.com/E9hdydl.mp4
Do only i have this issue?

My work-around for now:

Quote:#movie_player > div.ytp-chrome-bottom > div.ytp-chrome-controls > div.ytp-left-controls > span:nth-child(2) > button > svg {
height: 36px !important;
}
it's not perfect but it works i guess!

This only happens on cent as far as i know, i've tried firefox,chrome and plain chromium and they all don't have this issue which is very very odd.

Some notes:
I know for a fact that this isn't caused by any of my extensions.
I personally use "good old youtube" for old youtube design but this happens on new design as well.

Same here. It's 100% Cent issue, because it appears even in a clean freshly installed browser without any extensions.

Same here.
It happened also in SRWare Iron Browser 80.0.4150 (based on Chromium) but after updating to 85.0 works fine.
So something needs to be updated. ))

Quickly made an extension that fixes it for now if you boys want it:
Download here.
Unpack, go to chrome://extensions/ and enable  developer mode in the top right corner then drag+drop the "Temporary youtube button fix" folder in there.

You can go to extension options and set custom size if it doesn't fit for you, [36 for normal] and [54 for fullscreen] worked for me but for you it might be a little messed up so play around by changing it by 1px and clicking "save", it'll refresh the button automatically on the site.

Note:
You can eaisly inspect every file in notepad to see i'm not trying to hack your doggo pictures.

Cheers.

Fixed an error, re-download if anyone's using it.

Seems like it's fixed now!

You should remove my crappy extension Tongue

And thanks @CentBrowser for quickly fixing it Smile

Glad to hear this.
Seems Youtube changed something.

RE: Youtube play/pause button disappeared. - taba - 10-20-2020

The incident mentioned above by the topic author is not considered a browser (Cent Browser) problem; The "play / pause" button, which is said to not appear, starts to appear when the mouse cursor is moved over the video screen.

The main problem encountered only with Cent Browser is this:

All of the video control buttons disappear when videos (which are small in horizontal size) taken with smartphones and similar devices begin to play on YouTube. For example, see the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b4pdiocFp4

For a solution, the "Show tip for playing video in popup window" option should be selected in the "Settings > Browsing" section of the Cent Browser and click the "Enlarge this video to entire web page area"  button in the tip box that appears above the YouTube video screen.

As a result, the developer should fix this bug in the next release of Cent Browser.
