Downloading Videos REGARDLESS Of What Google Wants - LeftistDirtBag - 10-25-2018

i have not been overly amused that google went out of their way to shut down most if not all video downloaders, and thus all chrome based browsers have followed suite. that said there must be a way to for the install of one or install a unapproved video downloader.

This may violate copyright of those videos.
If you are familiar with GIT and Python.

i'll check those out, but google had no business making this asinine decision. the vast majority of people who post on youtube and other sites do not care if you download their videos. there is honestly no reason google couldn't of given users that don't want to have their content downloaded the ability to block it from being downloaded when they are answering the various questions asked during the upload process. google just got over zealous. thanks for the links.

In France (where I live), there is a law which (in theory) allows a person to download an keep a copy of a content see-able without paying, as long it's for a strict personal use (no share, no sell...).
So downloading an YouTube video should be allowed - in the best world. Of course redistributing, publishing on another site is forbidden.

I share @LeftistDirtBag's opinion on this subject.

yes we have the same here if we get the channel even if it's say a youtube channel we are allowed to legally download a copy for our personal use. google is violating the law in regards to this.

thanks @SpringsTS

OK, we can look into this feature if there is no copyright issue.

Video downloading is just a tool.
It's what the user does with the videos which is legal or not...

the attitude wan't necessary.

so is yours.
bickering is not necessary nor wanted. If you can't understand that, then you should not respond at all.
