RE: BETA version -- 4.1.7.162 - m53aal - 12-25-2019

Thanks for the hard works and Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately, it seems that the DirectWrite bug has come back in the newest stable version...
Fonts are disappearing randomly when DirectWrite is off, exactly like last time. (Both on Win7 and an older version of Win10)

Well, seeing how much of a headache it is to keep this function alive...while reluctant, I guess I'll try to force myself getting used to enabling DirectWrite from now on. Cry

Probably you can send me centbrowser_4.1.7.182_x64_portable.exe with "--disable-backgrounding-occluded-windows" and "--disable-gpu" appended to see if this will solve the empty window issue.

P.S.: Avast was totally disabled before downloading centbrowser_4.1.7.182_x64_portable.exe and during running the chrome.exe.
Extract the attached file into the browser directory(the directory containing chrome.exe)

.zip   cb_config.zip (Size: 218 bytes / Downloads: 388)

This was changed by Chromium 77.
We will revert it in the next version.

Yes, DirectWrite is perfect enough now.
Or you may upgrade your OS to Windows 10 version 1909 and try disabling DirectWrite.

There is this extension (see link at end of post) to re-add back the 'automatic tab discarding' back. But of course it may be better performance-wise for Cent Browser to add the flag back instead of users using yet another extension. For the time being the extension appears to be doing fine though. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/disable-automatic-tab-dis/dnhngfnfolbmhgealdpolmhimnoliiok?hl=en

Unfortunately, the same empty window appears. Nothing else! How is this possible?!?
How about the first run of the browser before you replace with your own 'profile' in UserData folder? If in the first run you don't get that empty window, the problem is likely coming from your profile.

Ok, thanks. I'll wait for it in the next release.

I've tried it. That's why I asked for it to be add back for better performance and usability.

Yeah until they add it in (don't know when they'll release the next version of Cent), at least you still have that.

And why is not updated through the browser?? Version 4.0.9.112 (Official build), (32 bit) (portable) (Chromium 74.0.3729.169)
