Ah yes, how dare I expect a browser to /check notes/ work.

No.

Why does each subsequent version of the browser run slower than the previous one and consume more memory on the same pages?
Is this Chromium's fault?
This may be not true.
To compare them accurately, you need to always launch the browsers with empty User Data.
But indeed reducing memory consumption is not critical work in Chromium.

Dan, are you ready to release a new version on the 85th core? Or are there still some unresolved problems?

Why did you say this before, and why has it changed?

(09-25-2020, 02:25 PM)CentBrowser Wrote: No.
Why did you stop the plan?

Wouldn't it be dishonest to change what you say in two months, even if the release date is still staggered?

After all, I think we should upload the sources to git and so on, even if it's just the parts that can be made public, what do you think?

For now we have no plan to get open sourced, maybe in the future.

RE: STABLE version -- 4.2.10.171 - rch - 09-26-2020

So the devs have two major issues they are either having terrible trouble fixing or they can't fix.

They won't release a full version without those options.
They won't release a Lite version without those options after proposing the idea of a Lite version.
They won't release another version until those options they can't seem to fix are fixed.
So, if they can't fix these problems, we won't see another version of Cent? If the problems are fixed, are we now going to have to wait 4-6 months for each update while they have to fix the same problems over and over again??

It's a sad predicament this great browser has found itself in. Sad

What it feels like, keeping track of the time between Cent updates.

The workload of each update is very different, depends on Chromium changes.
Some updates are relatively easy to follow up.

Is this load very high in the last update? Has this update caused more problems than before?

You said that the new version will be out before the end of September. Have all the problems been solved for this?
