RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - jack - 01-15-2016 Engines are added but after browser restart they gone. RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - badablek - 01-15-2016 no, they are not...at least not on mine. auto-added engines are kept, even with this file in read-only mode. RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - jack - 01-15-2016 Just tested (again with clean profile) and it works. I used gonintendo.com site and search for Mario, engine was added but after restart is gone RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - Admini - 01-16-2016 Sorry for that. This issue is not completely fixed indeed. We have located the reason. And what about another solution:we leave "auto add search engines" alone, but not show "other search engines"in the context menu(only show regular search engines like google, bing, yahoo, etc)? RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - badablek - 01-16-2016 Quote:we leave "auto add search engines" alone, but not show "other search engines"in the context menu(only show regular search engines like google, bing, yahoo, etc)? this is exactly what I have suggested monday http://www.centbrowser.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=526&pid=1904#pid1904 Letting CB grab search engines is not a bad idea, because sometimes it's hard to decypher how to add a search engine. The only bad part is that all those search engines are showed in the right-click. Only regular (approved by user) engines should be in the right-click list to avoid this mess. RE: search engines (not fixed in 1.6.10.21 !) - Admini - 01-16-2016 Well, then it will be done like that. |
