In fact, this animation is very CPU intensive when you open a lot of tabs or restore the window after closing. Never thought that someone too, but I am also looking for a solution for this problem. I would like to turn off the animation or choose the one that is not so aggressive. I have an old PC. Thanx.

Are you referring the tab opening/closing animation, or tab loading animation.

tab loading

Yes, it is relatively CPU intensive.
However if you disable it, you will not be aware when those websites have finished loading.
And we estimate it can reduce at most 10% CPU if the animation is disabled.

Think I'd still choose saving 10%..
I'll know about it when the stop button is replaced by the page reload button.
Or it can be static indicator!
