Hi I have a big issue with the new version. When I visit some random URL, I cannot access the page, or the tab icon keeps spinning and the page never loads.

One sample URL is https://lacoste.com.au/

I have tried safe mode, it sometimes can load the page, but when you interact with it, the page stops loading again.

Same URL works fine on Microsoft Edge. What problem can this be?

No issues on my side.

The URL does work with the latest version of Vivaldi.

It should be a bug of Chromium 118, or compatibility issue between the website and Chromium.

I see this page crashes with "Out of Memory" on my system (32Gb/ram) reaching just 900Mb (probably caused by the swiper library drawing the background). On chromium it consumes a whopping 1.4Gb + 70% CPU and a few % of GPU. Anyway it's ok for such a shitty sites to die earlier, but I'm just curious about the limits.
Please download this installer to test the issue. If the issue persists, please try
1. Enable compatibility mode for chrome.exe
2. Append command line --no-sandbox (just for testing)
By the way, have you disabled the pagefile in the OS?

Thank's but I have startup error.

I always use '--no-sandbox' because of 'Disable DirectWrite' feature
pagefile in the OS is Enabled
Compatibility mode with what OS? I have Windnows 7 x64.

It doesn't start.

No, the pagefile is not disabled and is set to auto.

I've tried to check that 4k video by simply downloading it and running directly in the browser, and it seems being rendered with gpu without issues. I've prepared the new crashlog and about-gpu report file to send by email, since there's no any mentions of x264/65, but decided to test the other link i sent right after.
