It's SammiLucia here, one of the developers of MacType

For those with DirectWrite disabled you can try MacType (https://github.com/snowie2000/mactype/releases) while you're waiting for a fix. MacType replaces the GDI font-rendering engine with FreeType, and lets you fully configure DirectWrite rendering.

CentBrowser is now the only up-to-date browser that allows disabling of DirectWrite, and there are many people around the world who are extremely grateful for this (myself included).

Here's what I see with DirectWrite disabled (and MacType enabled):

Does this bug exist in the latest 4.0.9.112 version?

RE: BETA version -- 3.9.2.33 - Dhrystone - 10-16-2019

Hi guys. It's been a long time since a new version was released. When can we expect an update which catches up to the current Chromium builds?

RE: BETA version -- 3.9.2.33 - piliq - 11-20-2019

Thanks for new beta! It works fine for me. DirectWrite disabled is also good! But, what about this one? https://www.centbrowser.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2829&pid=13731#pid13731

RE: BETA version -- 3.9.2.33 - piliq - 11-20-2019

Found a bug. Mouse gesture 'Go to page top' is not working on some sites. Cent Settings page, for example Smile

RE: BETA version -- 3.9.2.33 - mc0134 - 11-21-2019

The new beta 4.1.6.137 seems to have extension crash issue. Did not have this issue on previous version of cent nor the latest version of official google chrome. Was just browsing the web when all of a sudden, the popups came up to tell me extensions crashed. Happened a few times so it might be an intermittent issue but this is a beta anyway so bugs are still being worked out.

But in any case thanks for a new version of cent anyhow!! Smile

You may need yo backup your User Data firstly.
CentBrowser, in version 4.1.6.137, did you remove duplication from the context menu of the tab and the menu bar of the command "Reopen closed tab" or is it only in beta?
And I can also offer a translation from the context menu of the tab of the command "add to new tab shortcut" -

Rolleyes

Just letting you know that the executable (chrome.exe) of the new beta version (4.1.6.137) is falsely detected as a virus.
