I confirm it on W7 and W10 1809.

Also, i was make compare on W7 in same copy of browser.
By the way, if my memory serves me, this problem (i mean wrong spacing between letters) was already on some of the older versions of the browser, and it was successfully fixed.

OK, we will try to investigate.

Working fine here...
 --force-dark-mode works too!

--force-dark-mode is quite nice, I no longer have to worry about 'flashbangs' when opening a new tab.

Okay. I hate to bring this up, I know that a lot of work goes into this browser, but PLEASE find more volunteers to help you. This is for an emergency update and it has taken you TWO WEEKS so far to actually update. You're perpetually behind Chromium and literally the only reason I stick around is you still let me turn off DirectWrite. You need help, other browsers in a similar position have updated swiftly. You can't do anything in a reasonable amount of time, and cannot be depended on to act swiftly in emergencies at this point. We are all leaving our computers vulnerable waiting on an update. Do you understand that? It shouldn't take forever to update this if you have enough people working on this.

Unfortunately most time was wasted on DirectWrite issue which you care about.
The vulnerability was fixed in 3.9.2.33, you can use it if it has no serious problems.

I guess I just don't understand why it takes two weeks on the DirectWrite issue when you've fixed that a dozen times by now. Does it break a different way every time? Do you not have a lot of time to work on the browser? It's a lack of transparency in this case, it feels.

Does it break a different way every time?

Exactly right, it breaks in a different way every time.

ARE any new releases planned in near future?

Thank you for telling us. It's frustrating that all we know is it breaks (from us finding that out) and not how. I don't think it's wrong to ask for a little more transparency?
