Another problem is when closing a tab, the whole browser focuses out.

Same here, just noticed it now.

Yes, the old way is better.
But the current way has more simple logic, and easier to maintain.
Another reason is that the tab list is also tab manager, you can middle click and right click on it to manage tabs continuously.

This problem in some fonts are almost unnoticeable (ex: Arial), but you can still see the subtle misalign if you observe them carefully.
This problem seems to exist in win7 and older version of win10 (<=1803), I don't have 1809 to test but I heard that people with win10 1809 do not have this problem.
Also it doesn't seem to matter that if DW is on or off, the problem exist in both case in my testing.

Thanks, we will do further testing.
Maybe another Chromium bug.

Hello,

Supported --cb-compact-ui to reduce tab height

What is it and how to enable this function? I would like to reduce tab height

You have to go here: chrome://settings/cbOtherOptions

It's the last option there. Click the box and then you'll be able to paste that.

Seems it renders better with DW off in Win10 than Win7.
Today I installed W10 on second partition of my SSD, build 1809 dated October (latest version). And on it all the same problems as on W7. I made several screenshots; the distance between the letters varies everywhere, in the address bar, in the tab name, in all places on the page itself.

Many thanks for your detailed testing.
We also tested from Win7 to Win10.
All platforms have the same rendering issue with DW disabled, but they all have no issue with DW enabled.
Does the issue still exist even DW is enabled on your side?

No.

I confirm it on W7 and W10 1809.

Also, i was make compare on W7 in same copy of browser.
By the way, if my memory serves me, this problem (i mean wrong spacing between letters) was already on some of the older versions of the browser, and it was successfully fixed.
